I did an interview for Skandium about cozyness and skandinavian design. Have a read!

Any tips on how to cosy up the apartment for the upcoming winter?

Combine and mix different textiles such as wool, velvet and linen. Style with earthier, warmer tones such as red, burnt orange, Bordeaux, brown/beige as well as dark green and blue. Also, bring the nature inside - make a bouquet out of branches, twigs and leaves together with eucalyptus in a beautiful ceramic vase. If you really want to make it extra cosy, buy a carpet with long pile and of course - add candles and blankets!

What is your favorite thing about Scandinavian design?

Quality, craftsmanship and minimalism. Scandinavian design is known for its good quality and functional pieces that can last a lifetime. I also love the neutral colour palettes and natural materials such as unpainted wood, leather, metals and natural fibres.

Top 3 questions to ask yourself before buying a sofa?

A sofa can be a big investment for someone, and we must think more sustainably, so the first question would be will I still love it in 5-10 years? 20 even? And second, is it comfortable and does it fit my purpose? Then you can take your interior style into account and think about design, shape and textile. It all depends on how you see yourself and your personality.

What are the main principles of your home interior?

I like a lot of different interior styles, so at my place, it's quite mixed. But I like good, functional pieces that are versatile and can be used in several rooms. For example, a nightstand that I can also use as a side table. I also love vintage, so if I buy something brand new it might be a pillow, a poster or some other small interior accessory.

I'm not a big fan of following trends, I feel people sometimes get caught up in trends too much that an interior loses its personality and purpose. For me, interior is supposed to be somewhat fun and about reflecting your personality and yourself. Have fun with it, but keep some things in common. I don't like clutter so an aesthetically pleasing room for me would have neutral furniture with a cool painting or a wall piece mixed with materials such as marble, wood and velvet.
